Ran 1st 10k this past Weekend!

This past saturday, I ran my first 10k of this season! The 10k is 6.2 miles and I ran it for the first time last Summer at home in Asheville and loved it! So I was super excited to run it and it went really good! It was a beautiful morning in North Palm Beach where the race was! It's also where Tiger Woods ex-wife just bought a brand new home worth millions with plans just to knock it down and rebuild her own perfect home on the plot of land, just because she loved the land so much! Here is a copy of the article:

Tiger Woods' ex-wife springs for $12 million Palm Beach mansion

PALM BEACH, Fla. -- Tiger Woods' ex-wife, Elin Nordegren, shelled out over $12 million for a mansion in North Palm Beach, 10 miles away from Woods' own sprawling digs, local media reported.
Nordegren, 31, purchased the beachfront home in the Seminole Landing community of North Palm Beach in February, eight months after she finalized her divorce from the philandering golfer, the Palm Beach Post reported Friday
The Swedish beauty and her two children with Woods plan to move into the 17,000 square foot home in the next few weeks.
The golfer's former wife will join celebrity neighbors in the exclusive, gated community that include former New York Giants running back Tucker Frederickson and West Virginia playboy and coal magnate Christopher Cline.

"It's a non event," Frederickson, the president of the homeowner's association, told the Post when asked about the latest celebrity addition to the neighborhood.
Earlier this month, the surprisingly private Woods revealed to fans that he was prepping to make a move of his own to a new home in Jupiter Island, Fla., that features a custom-built practice facility.
"Pretty soon, I'll be moving into my new home in Jupiter, Fla.," Woods, 35, wrote on his website. "I'm excited about that and even more excited about my new practice facility. It's phenomenal."

But the result of the race was that I got 3rd overall and 1st place overall for women! I got a time of 37:30.  So I wasn't very happy with my time but luckily its just spring and so I'm just preparing for cross country so I should not be running my best right now anyways because I'm training really hard now since its off-season so my legs are a bit tired because I increased my mileage for off-season so then all this hard-training will pay off when Fall rolls around and cross country is here.  I want to be running in the low 35's is my goal for the next race! Which is this weekend! I'm running in the Gumbo Limbo Save the Turtles 10k in Boca Raton and I know another really good girl is going to be running in it so I'm excited for that because it will be a good fun race and with good competition! Also here is a link to a video summing up last weekends race!
Race registration money helped pay to ship care packages to troops overseas.
